Live it up at Youth Week party

YOUNG band Benevolence will make their public debut at tonight’s Live it Up- Live it Now! dance party at the Cavanbah Centre.

Benevolence, which is punk/rock influenced, was formed at Woolgoolga High School from music classes and friendships.

The band members are Zoe Thomas, Jarrad Ward, Jack Cook, Kerien Smith, John Krestensen and Pat Brown.

Benevolence will join SAYD, Youngblood and The Proposition on stage to rock the Cavanbah Centre from 5pm to 10pm tonight.

The dance party will be the finale to the all-day Live it Up – Live it Now! Festival which will begin at 10am this morning in Pioneer Park and continue until 4pm.

VIP guest Gretel Killeen will attend both events.

Today’s entertainment includes USA break dancers; Koorimurri Dancers; Egg Eat Fish; Djembe Drumming Circle; mosaic art, wearable art and mook mook jewellery workshops, roaming circus performers, a story slam; and fashion parade from Jay Jays, Coopers, Barkins and ICE, information stalls, the creation of a spray can art mural, food stalls, competitions and giveaways.

Toormina Skate Park will also host a Youth Week barbecue and skateboarding event today.
