Lismore beauty books her spot in next round of Miss World

LISMORE woman Janaya Everingham has made it through to the next round of the Miss World Australia pageant.

Janaya Everingham, from Lismore was one of seven Miss World Australia contestants selected on Sunday at the preliminary finals in Sydney, to represent the state at the New South Wales Final later this year.

Miss World is the largest and most prestigious international beauty pageant in the world hosting 130 countries at one of the most exclusive events of the year.

Janaya is excited to begin her beauty with a purpose journey and work alongside Miss World Australia and its chosen charity; Variety the Children Charity.

Variety aims to enable disadvantaged, disabled and sick children to overcome the obstacles they face to live a happy and vibrant life.

Janaya is a brownbelt in Yoseikan Karate and spends her time coaching young children in her specialised domain.

Janaya has completed a Diploma in Tourism and Event Management and has worked for NORPA in her local community.
