A change of venue but Relay For Life remains

LIKE fish and chips, and tea and scones, rain and the Relay for Life have a connection in Coffs Harbour.

While walkers have weathered damp conditions in the past, the rain has this time had a partial victory with today's activities transferred to the undercover Jetty Village car park.

The relay will also be an abbreviated affair.

It will start at 10am with the Survivors and Carers Lap and will include the Candlelight Ceremony of Hope at 5pm. It will conclude at 6.30pm.

A Cancer Council spokesman said the change of venue and shortened program would not deter walkers or volunteers from having a great time.

"C'mon down and join the fun."
