Short term pain for eradicated bitou bush gain

BEACHES within Moonee Beach Nature Reserve will be temporarily closed this week as part of the National Parks and Wildlife Service bitou bush control program.

The areas to be affected by the control program from Wednesday to Friday are Fiddamans (Back Sandy) Beach and Moonee Beach within Moonee Beach Nature Reserve.

"NPWS staff will be on hand to direct people away from the target areas and we ask for public co-operation in complying with any safety instructions," NPWS senior ranger (pests) Tim Scanlon said.
