Licence suspended for speeding pair

POLICE have confiscated the driver's licences of two young men after catching them speeding more than 50km/h over the speed limit north of Coffs Harbour last night.

An 18-year-old in a Nissan Pulsar and a 20-year-old in a Subaru Impreza were clocked at 132km/h in an 80 zone on the Pacific Highway at Korora.

Both cars were travelling north when they were apprehended about 6.30pm last night.

Speeding fines were issued and both men automatically had their licences suspended for driving at more than 45km/h over the sign-posted speed limit.
