Letter to the Editor - Wednesday, June 4: Trashy times

I WONDER what the hidden pleasure or satisfaction can be in dumping rubbish into drains and streams around Coffs Harbour?

I can actually understand people feeling ripped off by society but what did Mother Nature ever do to us but nurture and provide?

Why not channel your rebelliousness into hassling your local politician for a fair go, or form a lobby group or an alternative community.

I feel really depressed to think you have lost any spirit of aliveness to fight back. I can't quite imagine the sort of mentality that not only consumes junk, but is happy to spread it all over the Earth.

JOYFUL ANNE
