Letter to the Editor - Wednesday, June 11: The bottom line
I MUST agree with the comments made by Kerry and Jim Child regarding the Qantas check-in staff in Saturday's June 7 Advocate.
It seems Qantas like many companies consider only the bottom line and use calculators and spreadsheets to determine their staffing arrangements.
They obviously put no value on the experience, knowledge, service, and loyalty their staff have contributed over the years. I have been a loyal customer to Qantas for many years but this recent action has caused me to reconsider my future flying arrangements.
