Letter to the Editor - Wednesday, July 10: Tax evasion

THERE are very wealthy people on high incomes, that through financial trickery, pay little or no tax. As well, many companies making huge profits in Australia also pay little or no tax through various dodgy schemes.

These are the real "rorters", the biggest "leaners" of them all, but is the government going after them?

No, they're too busy putting the boot into those on welfare, and through this joke of a budget, sticking it to low- and middle-income earners.

To add insult to injury, the government has watered down regulations governing financial planners despite the massive fraud perpetrated by the CBA.

The sheer hypocrisy of the government is staggering, with their PPL for wealthy women and spin doctors by the dozen.
