Letter to the Editor - Wednesday, April 13: A good outcome

I WANT to say thank you to the policeman who did a great decent thing.

My hubby was pulled over for supposedly speeding over the last long weekend.

He said, "I'm sorry, I know I can't prove it, but I'm sure the speed limit on these roadworks changed a week ago to 100kmh".

After getting a ticket he continued on his way, but his phone rang five minutes later and it was the policeman who said to throw away the ticket ... "I'm cancelling it, I'm sorry you were right".

My husband was totally shocked. What a wonderful police officer we have working in our community.
