Letter to the Editor - September 30: Think about the plan

IN RESPONSE to the news story Koalas Give Way (Advocate, September 26) - Coffs Council has a Koala Plan of Management in place to conserve and manage threats to koalas and their habitat to ensure permanent free-living populations throughout the Coffs LGA, to help reverse trends of rapidly declining koala populations.

The road through Pioneer Park is a road to nowhere. Destroying the koalas' home within the park will displace them, and the chances of survival are almost nil.

Pioneer Park can be enhanced even more by planting more natives for the wildlife, and creating more seating for people to relax during the day, without the road.
