Letter to the Editor - Saturday, June 20: A walk interrupted

I LOVE walking along the marina wall almost every morning.

And I am not alone, there are plenty of regular walkers and riders, even in the winter chill.

I understand something needs to be done to make the harbour more secure for boat owners but hopefully with the new wall we won't lose our wonderful, iconic view and the easy access we always enjoy.

The issue I have is nobody has mentioned how long our iconic walk will be out of action while construction takes place.

If the eastern breakwater is anything to go by, we could be without our morning constitutional walk for many months.

I'd like to know what time frame we are in for.
