Letter to the Editor - Saturday, February 14: Big bill
I ONCE asked my electricity representative what "supply charge" meant. He replied that's for supplying electricity from the pole, to your house.
On my last bill, for 97 days, that charge was $130.49, more than a dollar per day and over one third of my bill.
For every house and business in Australia it does seem to have been overlooked by many people - what does that money pay for?
So, I desire a liveried man in my supplier's colours, knocking on my door at a suitably arranged time, to announce that arrival.
