Letter to the Editor - Saturday, April 2:Conceptions of birth

THE term misconception in your letter (CCA March 12) C. Wheatley relating to the right to have an abortion is somewhat unfortunate.

I suggest unless a woman has "concieved" there would be no need for considering an abortion at all.

By the way, my Concise Oxford dictionary defines a miracle as a "marvellous miracle."

Am I under a "misconception" in believing pregnancy to be the result of a sexual act involving a male and female.

No divine or supernatural assistance required.
