Letter to the Editor - Saturday, April 2: Paying rego twice

IN RESPONSE to the article in the Coffs Coast Advocate on plans for the introduction of 4WD permits on beaches on March 16.

I have to agree with Geoff Parker's view on it being a cash grab.

Sure rein-in reckless and criminal behaviour. As a beach user I notice that more than of that behaviour occurs during holiday breaks.

Let the rangers do their job as paid by ratepayers already.

Speed limits is known to be 40kmh and as this is a gazetted highway/road this rule is enforcable by police.

The free of $60 is questionable as we currently pay road registation in NSW.
