Letter to the Editor - October 18: Council should pay

ONCE again the council has decided the minority needs a white elephant entertainment centre.

No surveys sent to our postal addresses, no input to what everyone thinks. The amount of money as stated on the council website in no way reflects the exact end figure in what it would cost.

As a ratepayer I know it's necessary to contribute to our necessary infrastructure but unfortunately the only area that benefits is the city centre - no beautiful roundabouts out in the suburbs, high grass and rubbish rules.

I do not wish to keep working long hours so I can afford to pay the increase in our rates, if the council wants an arty-farty centre then you lot cut your wages and stop wasting our money on privileges you think you're entitled to.
