Letter to the Editor - November 22: No service needed

I REFER to the proposed service station on the Pacific Highway, near Wentworth Ave, Coffs Harbour.

I have yet to meet anyone who thinks the service station will be beneficial. To add insult to injury, two magnificent native hoop pines will be moved unnecessarily.

One for no reason and the other for a driveway. If this driveway were moved slightly to avoid the tree it could be saved. These trees would live for another 200 years if left alone.

Where is the garden plan for the road reserve to compensate for trees already illegally removed and those which will be removed for the development? Concerned citizens need to contact our councillors urgently also the RMS.
