Letter to the Editor - July 29: Seeking a solution to parking

I WOULD like to add my bit to Julie Midavaine's letter in The Advocate regarding the hospital car park.

Each week I attend the hospital pool for hydrotherapy with the physiotherapist.

Because I have a mobility parking permit, I appreciate being able to make use of the disabled parking spaces near the pool entrance. This is a great advantage as I have walking difficulties - the reason for my needing hydrotherapy.

The idea of having to walk up to the entrance to have my ticket validated, and then back to my car, after using the pool, is rather daunting and would be for many pool-users and others who are visiting the hospital for treatments.

I should think that the hospital has a duty of care to those who use the facilities.

I hope that those responsible will find a compassionate solution to this issue.
