Letter to the Editor - December 3: All doom and gloom

I COULD not agree more with letter writers Beth Agland, Stephen Dodsworth and David Eisler as I have been saying the same.

The council's doom and gloom document Funding Our Future is scare tactics for us to show them the money.

There is little doubt that the increase will be manipulated to develop their pet project, the entertainment centre.

If the roads, streets and normal services are taken care of then people will come. Fix the road to the boat ramp, and jetty area. I think most want to keep Coffs similar to what it has been, a nice place to visit, relax without the city, Gold Coast atmosphere.

People need to have their say and not complain later when the costs will trickle down to renters and consumers.
