Letter to the Editor - August 12: Honour for volunteer

COFFS Harbour Lions club is thrilled to bestow life membership on one of its volunteer members.

Lion Brian Beynon has not only devoted years to helping his community through work with Lions, but is also an active member of St Vincent's charity.

A full-time grandfather and tireless volunteer, Brian is an invaluable member of Coffs Harbour Lions Club.

Helping to hold the club together through the lean times, Brian acted as treasurer for nine consecutive years.

His support to the presidents and secretaries enabled the club to remain productive and support our local community during that time.

A small but active group of Lions, the Coffs Harbour Lions Club is growing in strength.

The members are proud to present Brian Beynon with his life membership.

It's a deserved reward to show the club's appreciation of his commitment, friendship, support, and for the way he is an example of the qualities outlined in the Lions Club's ethics and objects.

Coffs Harbour Lions Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Coffs Hotel.

Our main fundraiser is the Lions Car Boot Sale at the Jetty Foreshore on the first Sunday of each month.

New members are welcome.

John Skinner
President,
Coffs Harbour Lions Club
