Letter to the Editor - August 1: Rebuilding faith after fire

THE Anglican Parish of Sawtell / Bonville would like to thank the community of Bonville and Coffs for their expressions of support after the terrible fire which destroyed our beautiful little historic church building at Bonville.

It is a sad loss to the community of Bonville, who have many memories and treasured times associated with the building at Holy Faith.

Though the building has gone, the church is made up of the people and the parish will continue to provide services from our Sawtell site, on the corner of Elizabeth St and 7th Ave each Sunday at 8am for a formal communion service, and 10am for a family service.

Many have asked about our plans to rebuild, and I have answered all that it is far too early to make such decisions.

Instead over the next few weeks, I will be gathering together a group of interested parties to meet with me regularly around God's word, to prayerfully seek Jesus' guidance about how we can replant a significant Christian ministry into Bonville.
