Letter to the Editor - April 30: Gun count not a headline

AGAIN I am disappointed at the media's targeting of law-abiding people.

Attempting to generate hysteria by showing people how many guns and gun owners are in their postcode is pure sensationalism.

The Greens and co would be much better served by finding out where the illegal guns are and ensuring they are taken from criminals. The guns owned by these law-abiding people have probably been owned for decades, yet now, all of a sudden, it's a problem according to the Greens.

They have no interest in taking guns from criminals, they won't even support tighter laws on criminals caught with guns! Instead they target law-abiding people by playing on the fact that the general public do not understand the current gun laws and how tight they are.
