Let them eat harmony cake

HARMONY Day celebrations have begun across the coast - and perhaps the tastiest to date took place at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus yesterday.

More than 60 smiling cupcake faces were shining out from a special Harmony Day stall at the campus in a bid to preach the Harmony Day message that 'everyone belongs.'

Emily Hibberd of Sweet Ruby spent between six and eight hours painting intricate, culturally diverse faces on 66 delicious cupcakes for the event - which all looked almost too good to eat.

“Basically I was approached and asked whether I could do it - I said 'Sure!'. They're all different faces, which represent all the different people in our culturally diverse society,” she said.
