Success, not luck, for entrepreneur

NIGEL Downey is a motivator, a trainer, a coach and the founder of Bellingen’s very first cafe, the Boiling Billy, back in the 1980s.

He is also successful.

Now the Bellingen-based extrovert has brought his years of accumulated experience together in a book, ‘Success is not spelt LUCK’, to share the secrets of his happy life.

“Being successful is all about getting off your butt and doing what you say you want to do,” Mr Downey said.

“This book is written in the form of an interactive seminar with simple activities showing people how to achieve what they want.

“Often people would like to attend seminars but they are too expensive or too far away, so this book is your own personal seminar-in-a-packet – it is a small package with a big message.

“In the book you are asked to make a commitment and then start along the path of small positive steps to help get you there.”

Mr Downey said people are easily trapped in limited beliefs and believe they are not capable of realising their dreams.

Having launched the book two weeks ago, he will be signing copies at Dymocks, Park Beach Plaza this Saturday from 11am.
