Large crowd enjoys spice of life

RAIN dominated the weekend across the Coffs Coast but organisers of Saturday's Curryfest came up smiling.

After clouds hung low over Woolgoolga on Saturday morning, many people would have breathed a sigh of relief as the sun poked its way through just as the first visitors arrived.

And it stayed that way throughout the afternoon to help turn the third Curryfest into the most successful by far.

The festival site was full of smiling faces and wrapped in the mouthwatering aroma of many different spicy dishes.

And by far the biggest cheer was saved for special guest Kamahl, who charmed the crowd with his megawatt smile.
