Lamont steps down as NCF president

AFTER serving North Coast Football for four years as president, Michael Lamont is retiring from the position.

Lamont has actually held a position within the organisation since it made the transition from Holiday Coast Soccer to North Coast Football in 2004 and now he intends to take a well-earned break.

He does admit though that he won't be able to stay away from football for long.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Holiday Coast Soccer, then with North Coast Football over the years,” Lamont said.

"I really enjoyed working with the Board on the big picture issues to help the game grow and prosper. I will certainly miss the interaction and friendship I have with the Board members and staff, as well as amongst the clubs.”

Lamont's successor will be former vice-president Wendy Schafer. Replacing her as vice-president is Board member Rick Hall.
