Armed thieves strike Coffs store

TWO men carrying knives stormed a Coffs Harbour video store on Friday night, threatening staff and getting away with cash in a brazen armed hold-up.

Coffs Harbour police have appealed for information to identify the offenders.

The armed robbery happened at the Network Video store in Park Avenue near the intersection with Gordon Street about 8.15pm.

It’s believed two female staff members were working at the time.

Police said one of the men demanded money from the employees, who handed over an amount of cash.

The men, who had their faces covered during the robbery, left the store on foot and it is not known which way they went.

No one in the store was physically injured during the robbery.

Both men have been described to police as being of Caucasian appearance and aged 19-20 years.

The first man was wearing black clothing and is 175-180cm tall and of medium build.

The second man was wearing jeans and a blue T-shirt.

He is 180-185cm tall and of medium-to-solid build.

Anyone with information on the men’s whereabouts or identities is urged to contact Coffs Harbour Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
