Kingaroy businesses finalists in Queensland training awards

MEMBERS of the Kingaroy business community are Darling Downs South West finalists in the Queensland Training Awards.

Kingaroy Joinery is a finalist in Medium Employer of the Year, while Huston Motors employee Thomas Hunt is a finalist for Apprentice of the Year.

Nanango MP Deb Frecklington said the finalists were selected from 660 applications across the state.

"These awards are a great way of demonstrating the excellent job our local businesses do and the high level of achievement they are reaching," Deb said.

"It is excellent for the South Burnett and we should be proud of the business talent coming from Kingaroy."

The regional finalists will compete at the Darling Downs South West Regional Final Presentation Ceremony on July 22, with winners progressing to the Queensland Training Awards in Brisbane on September 9.
