King bus tycoons back in court

FORMER transport tycoons Peter and Tony King are back in court this month over the fallout from the collapse of their Mid North Coast family bus company five years ago.

King Bros Bus Group, which had earlier bought up a number of Coffs Coast bus firms operating school bus and commuter routes, collapsed in 2003 with losses of almost $220 million.

Twin brothers Tony and Peter King have pleaded guilty to defrauding the National Australia Bank (NAB) of millions of dollars.

This week ABC News reported that Tony and Peter King both faced court on fresh charges that they defrauded NAB of a further $65 million.
