Kids kicking on the field of dreams

A GROUP of 25 kids from the AFL North Coast Juniors experienced the thrill of a lifetime on Sunday when they played on the SCG during half time at the clash between the Sydney Swans and Richmond.

Both players and parents who made the trek down to Sydney were hosted by the AFL and enjoyed their adventure onto the famous turf and the chance to mix with some of the superstars of the game.

The Under 12s played in the centre of the ground and represented the Swans against a Tamworth combination who were playing for the Tigers.

Just like the main game, the Swans were too good for the Tigers in the half-time affair.

One of the biggest thrills for most of the junior footballers came after their match when they lined up alongside the Sydney Swans' player race and saw players such as Adam Goodes, Peter Everitt and Brett Kirk return to the field of play after the main break.

A day to remember that may inspire one or two to one day play in the big league.
