HOLLYWOOD funny man Kevin James got his first taste of Australian wildlife yesterday at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Mall Cop and I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry star arrived on the Gold Coast to promote his new movie Zookeeper.

After a quick promotional trip to Sydney the star paid a whirlwind visit to the Gold Coast.

“This is the furthest I’ve been away from my home yet Australia feels like the closest to my home,” Mr James said.

“My wife is very jealous that I’m here. I’d like to bring my family for a holiday.”

After expressing his desire to see kangaroos and koalas up close the comedienne was excited to see the Gold Coast wildlife.

“I’ve never seen a kangaroo,” he admitted.

Zookeeper features Rosario Dawson, Leslie Bibb and Ken Jeong with the zoo animals voiced by a cast of Hollywood royalty including Cher, Adam Sandler, Joe Rogen and Sylvester Stallone.
