Vote for me: Keith Rhoades
AS I commence my sixth local council election I reflected back on my past 21 years of service and looked at what has been achieved.
I am proud to say the decision in 1993 to slow development while the council replaced vital infrastructure has paid handsome dividends. We have a secure water supply for the next 70 years, a fully re-built sewerage system, a vibrant regional airport and the list goes on. We have now laid the foundations to build a great city. Coffs Harbour is the envy of many councils in NSW as we are in an extremely strong position to gain from the economic development opportunities that now await us. But we don't stop there.
With your support I would like to be a part of the next council as we move forward and complete the Jetty foreshores upgrade, complete the flood mitigation works that are proving successful, the skate park, working with state and federal governments to secure funding for a performing arts centre, regional art gallery, continue funding of new footpath construction and more.
I have strong connections with senior government ministers that have secured millions of dollars in funding to our area over recent years.
In my role as the state president of Local Government this allows me open access to ministers. I am proud to have three very professional businesswomen standing with me in Group D.
Kerry Hines is an experi- enced councillor, successful business owner, understands business owners' challenges.
Andrea Caldwell has a business degree, is an experienced business manager in corporate business and involved in regional development.
Fiona Barden is an experienced tourism operator, successful businesswoman and proven community advocate. Experience, leadership and vision are essential.
We seek your support.
