Jumble sale has it all from boats to deep fryers
IF YOU are fair dinkum about buying a boat - or anything else in Ron Skinner's shed for that matter - you'd better head down to the old brewery complex today or tomorrow.
The local man said he couldn't recall how long it had taken him to collect all of his blokey belongings, but said it was all for sale.
"If anyone's fair dinkum about buying a boat and they can't find the size or shape of boat that suits them here... well, they probably weren't fair dinkum about buying a boat," he said as he wandered past a yard of dinghies.
"We've got 20 or 30 boats here which need to be sold."
And that's just the beginning. There are deep fryers, welders, lawn mowers, cars and even a grader if you're looking for one.
Ron has been selling boats and developing land most of his life.
In 1998 he and his wife Carolyn purchased the Grafton Brewery complex before selling again in 2008.
The purchase came as a surprise to Mrs Skinner.
"I told her after I bought it," Ron said with a laugh.
"It was a big punt and a lot of work, but the harder I worked, the luckier I got."
Ron's background in construction, development and the boating world had influenced a lot of his purchases, but said the time had come to sell off some of his toys.
