Jen Hawkins backs actor dumped by luxury brand

FORMER Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins has come out in support of 37-year-old actor Rose Byrne after learning she had been axed by handbag manufacturer Oroton to be replaced by "younger influencers”.

"Yeah, I think it's young,” said Hawkins, 33, as she was named as an ambassador for The Star Sydney at the casino's pre-race lunch for The Star Doncaster Mile.

"I think Rose is beautiful.

"You see some women and they become more successful as they get older because they are relating to a different age group and are evolving.

"I think the sky is the limit.”

Being named as an ambassador for The Star cements a long relationship with the casino for Hawkins, who stayed there for three months with husband Jake Wall while building a dream house on the northern beaches.

"It was great, we did not have to change the sheets and could order room service,” she said.
