Jail after family dispute

A TOORMINA man, who assaulted a member of his family in a violent domestic dispute last year, has been sentenced to serve a year’s imprisonment.

Glen Edward Carter, 46, of Toormina, was this week found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in the Coffs Harbour Local Court. The assault happened during a heated domestic dispute.

The Centrelink pensioner will be eligible for parole after serving eight months of his sentence.
