Izzie wins Club Youth of the Year

BONVILLE Sawtell Lions Club's Youth of the Year judging has been held with three entrants from Toormina High School.

Judging included interviews before a panel held prior to the Lions meeting.

At the dinner meeting, the students answered two questions with a two-minute impromptu speech, followed a five-minute prepared speech on a subject of their choice.

The winner of both the public speaking and the Club Youth of the Year was Izzie Arif.

Izzie now progresses to the regional judging. Should he continue being successful he will progress to the district, state and Australia-wide final to be held in Launceston next year.

Bonville Sawtell Lions extends its thanks to the students, the school and the judges for making the club judging such a success.
