It would be cruisy

HOLIDAYING on a cruise ship is fantastic.   I don't understand all the negativity surrounding the concept of cruise ships stopping in Coffs Harbour.   I have been on several cruises and the shipping companies are extremely well-organised with tours arranged in each port.   Having between 2000 and 3000 people land in Coffs for the day would not only bring money into the area but would also promote our great region.   Bus companies would profit as well as food outlets because the travellers can enjoy a safe, well developed city with lots to offer. Attractions such as the Big Banana, Dolphin Marine Magic and smaller off-road tours would show off Coffs Harbour at its best and encourage the day travellers to return.   We don't need a terminal to land travellers. We just need a wharf that is suitable for the tenders from the ship to safely land passengers who are then transferred to buses to take them to various destinations.   Come on Coffs and catch up with the rest of Australia and benefit from cruise ship visits.   MARILYN SEDIVY
