CHAMPION ironwoman Courtney Hancock is in line to come back to home territory as part of the Coates Hire WRC Rally on the Coffs Coast later in the year.

Courtney has signed on as a Coates Hire Racing ambassador and wore the sponsor's colours for the first time on the weekend at the Balmoral Burn fundraiser for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

Coates publicist Mark Higgins said the company would love to have the surf star involved in the event if her training schedule for summer racing allowed it.

"Somehow I feel Courtney will make time to be a guest at the rally and wouldn't miss an opportunity to come back to Sawtell to visit friends and family," he said.

The association began for the multiple Kelloggs Nutri-Grain Ironwoman champion when Coates Hire became involved with her sport.

"I am delighted to represent an iconic Australian company that has been a strong supporter of the Kellogg's series," she said.

"For many years I have seen the orange Coates signs at all our surf events and it's now an honour to be a part of the team."

Tickets for Coates Hire Rally Australia went on sale last Monday, commencing a 100-day countdown to the event on September 11-14.
