Injured rider found after 11 hours

A TRAIL bike rider spent 11 hours lying injured on the side of a rural road after he crashed his bike in a isolated area north of Grafton.

The male rider crashed his bike at Clifden, 22km north of Grafton at 6am yesterday.

But the injured rider was not found until 5pm.

He suffered pelvic injuries and was airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital by the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.

A Northern NSW Local Health District spokeswoman said the rider was in a stable condition this morning.
