Iconic Murgon business moves into new territory

AN ICONIC Murgon business is almost ready for its latest expansion to take flight.

Coach company Pursers moves into the travel and cruise business at the end of this month.

Office manager Felicity Dascombe said Pursers heard of South Burnett residents travelling hours to book holidays with agents in-person and wanted to offer a solution closer to home.

"We already offer group travel. We do a lot of day trips," Mrs Dascombe said.

"A lot of people have asked us over the years if we can cover the other side of the travel.

"There is a gap in the market. They know us, they like to do business with us."

Pursers has teamed up with travel service provider helloworld.

"Through them using their buying power we can offer flights, cruise and rail throughout the whole world," Mrs Dascombe said.

This year marks 20 years since the Dascombe family bought the business.

"It's a nice chance to extend the business," Mrs Dascombe said.

"The buses run well, we have the support of the community."

Pursers will celebrate the expansion at an official opening on Thursday, June 30.

The business has Coldplay tickets, travel packs and gift vouchers to give away from 9am.

For more information phone Pursers on 4168 1533.
