Hundreds of cars going for bargain at record Coast auction

HUNDREDS of cars will go under the hammer in a mass vehicle auction, and buyers are in for a bargain.

Claytons Towing will hold the auction at its Nambour yard on Saturday, May 27 at 9am.

Owner Mike Clayton said the numbers were yet to be finalised, but "a couple hundred" cars would be sold on the day, possibly setting a record for the business' already popular auction events.

He said the cars were impounds from various government agencies.

All the cars must be sold on the day, with no reserve prices.
