Huge interest in local derby
THE biggest crowd of the season is expected to pack out league's Advocate Park today for the local MNC Rugby derby.
Southern Cross University will change the signpost to Marlins Park for the day but will need more than the name going its way to outpoint competition leader Coffs Rugby.
"Forget what the score turns out. All I want is for the boys to play like we did for the last 60 minutes against Pirates," Marlins' coach Dave Nicol said.
"We started the season ranked sixth and are now looking at fourth spot and I've convinced my blokes they are even better than that.
"The key is doing things as perfect as possible and let the rest of the day take care of itself."
Coffs Rugby skipper Paul Butcher said his troops were ready to rumble.
"Because of the Coffs Cup we had a run on Friday night, after 46 guys turned up for a training session on Tuesday," he said.
