Hub is the place
SIX weeks in and the Six Degrees Co-working Hub is celebrating with its first Social Salon for members, their partners and anyone else interested in learning more.
The manager of Enterprise Coffs, Jenny Oloman, said tomorrow's Social Salon begins at 5.30pm.
"Momentum is really building and the Hub is rapidly becoming the go-to place for local entrepreneurs to develop business ideas, pitch their passions to people who can offer advice or just act as a valuable environment where you can bounce ideas around," Jenny said.
Peter Anderson from PackWeb is a regular Six Degrees member who uses the Hub as a workplace one day a week.
"I always wanted to have an office out of the house and this is an affordable way to have all the perks of an office combined with flexible payment options, and it is the perfect space to meet clients," he said.
Six Degrees is also proving the perfect space to learn from other business people via once a month PITCH sessions
"This is where members get to tell us about their business and where they are at and, more importantly, where they want to grow," Jenny said.
"By describing their vision in a safe and supportive environment to a panel of local experts - and the wider Six Degrees community - they are finding this a great springboard for growth."
Illustrator and Six Degrees member Flossy-p said her PITCH experience exceeded expectations.
"It was so exciting, and I feel so much more confident about what I do now, and what's possible for the future," Flossy-p said.
"I didn't get the advice I was expecting.
"Instead, I had a room full of experienced people all agreeing on practical and logical solutions for me moving forward.
"It's given me much more clarity, in what can often be a very overwhelming and foggy space."
