How your coins can make big change this Christmas

NOT everyone has the funds available to provide less fortunate community members the support they need at Christmas time.

Woolworths and OzHarvest have come up with a clever way for you to support an Aussie family doing it tough, and all they need is your loose change.

OzHarvest, Australia's leading food rescue organisation, is making it possible for customers to provide hungry Australian's with a meal this Christmas for just 50 cents.

OzHarvest is Woolworths' national fresh food rescue partner, they rescue surplus fresh food from stores and provide it to Australians who may otherwise go without.

Woolworths provides the fresh food and OzHarvest makes it available to more than 1000 hunger relief agencies around the country.

Your donation supports OzHarvest's operating costs, such as refrigeration, vans and warehousing, and just donating 50 cents will cover the per meal cost of this important community service.

Woolworths Kingaroy and Kingaroy Shoppingworld are proudly supporting OzHarvest['s efforts this year and are urging customers to share the spirit of Christmas by purchasing a 50 cent OzHarvest Wall Token in stores or online.

Kingaroy Customers can donate simply by receiving a token which they can place onto the Christmas tree outside the Woolworths store.

The campaign begins today and will run until Christmas.
