How you can have your say on 'Doctors Only' parking plan

IS THERE a need for priority parking for doctors along Kingaroy's Markwell St?

That's the question being posed to South Burnett residents.

The call for feedback comes after South Burnett Regional Council received a request to reinstate two 'Doctors Only' parking bays on the CBD street.

Council is proposing to change the parking in order to improve functionality and access to on-street parking in the area, and to reinstate the 'Doctors Only' bays.

As part of the proposed changes, five existing parking bays would have 2P (two-hour parking) restrictions introduced from 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am-noon on Saturday. Two parking bays would be reserved for the medicos during the same time periods.

All interested parties are invited to submit feedback regarding the proposed parking changes as part of the council's commitment to understanding the community's concerns and aspirations.

Feedback may be provided by referencing PK2019/00003 to the council, through email at info@southburnett.qld.gov.au, in person at any customer service centre or via phone on 4189 9100.

Feedback can also be submitted via post to PO Box 336, Kingaroy, QLD, 4610.

Consultation and feedback will close at 5pm on Friday, September 27.
