How to grow organic veges for market

MID North Coast Organics Incorporated is holding a Vegetable Field Day in the Thora area at 10am on Sunday.

The Thora farm produces a variety of certified organic vegetables and garlic sold into the Sydney, Brisbane and local markets.

The growers are currently certified with the Organic Growers Association but are working towards bio-dynamic certification with the Bio-Dynamic Research Institute, commonly known as Demeter.

Field day visitors will be looking at vegetable production, compost making and preparation of paddocks before garlic planting.

The cost of attending is $2 pp for Mid North Coast Organics Inc members and $5 for non-members.

To register (directions to the property given on registering) contact Mid North Coast Organics Inc president Susan Harwood on 6653 4578 or email harwoodgrlc@aol.com.
