Hoodie harness a fashion statement for pets

FOR THE warmest and yet coolest pups on the block, it's hard to go past this Frenchie in her pink hoodie harness.

Just perfect for keeping those big ears warm, the latest fashion statement for pets is the brainchild of Brisbane based dog accessory business, Big and Little Dogs.

Jodie Bartlett, owner of French Bulldog, Freyja, said she bought the hoodie harness as a way of keeping her beloved pup warm on chilly walks.

"She loves it," Ms Bartlett said.

"It keeps her nice and warm, it's really well made.

"We tend to walk early morning and dusk and their ears tend to cool off first."

The Hope Island local said she had thought about getting her a beanie cap but settled on the hoodie harness because it would keep Freyja warm and she walked well in the harness.

"We decided to fill the niche by bringing something cool but comfortable in for winter," Ms Nuttall said.

"It looks more wintry but in Queensland you don't need to rug up.

"Pets need to look as cool as kids these days."

She said the harnesses came in three colours: plaid blue or pink and camo.

Ms Nuttall said the hoodie harness was a limited-edition accessory and would only be available during winter.

The harnesses fit small breed dogs up to larger medium-sized breeds and are available online at bigandlittledogs.com.
