Homes still without power after that cracking lightning show

ESSENTIAL Energy crews are this morning hard at work trying to restore power to almost 3000 homes on the Coffs Coast following Monday night's thunderstorm.

The worst hit neighbourhoods were in Woolgoolga around Newman's Rd where 2100 homes were without power.

Isolated outages were also experienced at Karangi, Toormina, Repton, Raleigh and Missabotti.
