Coffs homes robbed in the night

RESIDENTS in suburban Coffs Harbour had a rude shock yesterday morning when they discovered they had been robbed in the middle of the night.

Intruders jemmied a roller door in Meadow Street some time between midnight and 3am and stole a handbag containing keys, a mobile phone and two wallets.

Around the corner in Elizabeth Street, a family was sound asleep inside their home when thieves struck between 10.30pm on Monday and 7.30am yesterday.

The offenders ripped a flyscreen from a front window which they then forced open to gain entry to the dwelling.

Once inside, they grabbed a handbag, a wallet, a camera and two sets of keys.
