Holiday park tastes yet more success
LOCALS have known for a while that Darlington Beach Holiday Park is the place to be but it now seems the news has spread.
The local holiday park, which already has an abundance of awards, can add another to the list - a 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
The award is given to properties that consistently achieve outstanding reviews on the travel website.
NRMA Holiday Parks commercial manager David Birch said he was delighted the parks were providing memories for guests.
"Our members and guests are the most important aspect of our business and we are glad to provide them with great holiday experiences that they can rave about," he said.
"In turn, this leads to more visitors to not only the parks, but the local community. It's a great win all round."
Darlington Holiday Park joined Merimbula Beach Holiday Park on the NSW South Coast in becoming a park to receive the certificates for the second consecutive year.
Both parks are ranked number one in their TripAdvisor categories - Merimbula with an average five-star rating and Darlington with an average 4.5-star rating.
To qualify for the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher out of a possible five.
The volume of reviews received within the past 12 months is also considered. Only around 10% of accommodations on TripAdvisor receive the award.
