Holden vehicles recalled due to fire risk
HOLDEN has recalled a range of vehicles with LPG engines due to potential fuel hose leakages or fire.
The recalls apply to VE/WM and VF/WN Holden Commodore Sedan, Ute, Wagon, Caprice - with LPG engines. It affects production dates from February 10, 2011 to September 9, 2015.
According to a Product Safety Australia announcement, if a LPG vaporiser has been serviced or replaced there may be a loose electrical ground connection. This may cause an electrical arc in the LPG fuel feed hose.
"If the defect occurs there is a risk of a fuel hose leak or fire, which may pose a rise of injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users,” the recall notice says.
