Holden vehicles recalled due to fire risk

HOLDEN has recalled a range of vehicles with LPG engines due to potential fuel hose leakages or fire.

The recalls apply to VE/WM and VF/WN Holden Commodore Sedan, Ute, Wagon, Caprice - with LPG engines. It affects production dates from February 10, 2011 to September 9, 2015.

According to a Product Safety Australia announcement, if a LPG vaporiser has been serviced or replaced there may be a loose electrical ground connection. This may cause an electrical arc in the LPG fuel feed hose.

"If the defect occurs there is a risk of a fuel hose leak or fire, which may pose a rise of injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users,” the recall notice says.

Holden owners can contact Holden Customer Care by phoning 1800 632 826, or their nearest Holden Dealer to arrange vehicle inspection and repair.

To find a dealer on their website, visit www.holden.com.au/dealerlocator.

The VIN range is from 6G1EK4E40CL600020 to 6G1NP5E4XFL147410.
